Truly, there are types of women men don’t like to marry.
For the greater part, women are constantly schooled on the red and green flags to look out for in men who come for their hands in marriage.
We conveniently forget that these men are human beings who have choices too.

All I’m trying to say is that just as women have men who they’re advised not to marry, there are also women who are walking red flags to men.

1. Overly jealous women
One of the types of women men don’t like to marry is the ones who are overly jealous.
A slight tinge of jealousy here and there is cute in a relationship.
Which other obvious way will someone know that their partner loves, cherishes, and guards them jealously if they don’t show little signs of jealousy and possessiveness from time to time?
That’s the point.
However, what’s not acceptable is full-blown jealousy and acting too possessive of a partner.
No one will like it if their spouse is constantly monitoring their movements, checking their phones, and always asking for their relationship with anybody of the opposite sex they find them with.
It’s screaming desperation and being controlling.
I don’t think that anyone will want to get married to such a person.
2. Bitter women
It’s not a myth.
Bitter women really exist.
They’re the ones who are always angry at, and over everything.
They’re angry with themselves, at the success of other people, at the world, and so on.
For a woman like that, nothing a man does ever pleases her deeply.
Her happiness is always short-lived – it doesn’t take long for her to snap back to her default angry mode.
She’ll seize every opportunity to talk down on, and put her man down.
Don’t rule out the possibility of her being abusive to him.
Expect her to deal so ruthlessly with his self-esteem till there’s nothing left of it.
Men usually avoid such women because no one wants their peaceful home to turn into a war zone after marriage.
3. Bossy women
Men have naturally high egos.
So, it’s not out of place that most men do not like to be ordered around, especially by women who they’re romantically involved with.
A woman might be bossy in nature for several reasons.
Perhaps she’s the first child in her family, and is used to giving orders to her siblings.
She might be a business owner or a boss at her workplace, and has employees who answer to her.
However, men expect her to drop her bossy attitude whenever she’s with her lover.
Most men prefer to love feminine women.
She can be bossy to others, but let her be feminine to him.
Anything other than that arrangement is unacceptable to most men.
4. Women who play mind games
No one deserves or wants to be with someone who loves playing mind games.
Yes, a man is meant to do the chasing and get her attention at the initial stages of the relationship.
But when she becomes interested and both of them are on the same page, she has to meet him at some point in the relationship.
Don’t let him do all the work such as calls, texts, buying gifts, pleasant surprises, planning dates.
I once read of a man who was complaining bitterly about the attitude of his girlfriend.
According to him, she showered him with love, attention, and affection whenever they were together.
It becomes a different story when they’re apart as she acts like he doesn’t exist.
He said that she could stay for weeks or even months without reaching out to or checking up on him.
If he doesn’t text or call her, she won’t bother.
After complaining and speaking to her endlessly about her nonchalance, he decided not to reach out for sometime to see if she’d notice and get in touch.
Guess what?
She didn’t notice.
He called her when he was tired of waiting, and she carried on with conversations as if there was never a stretch of silence between them.
It shouldn’t be so.
Relationship and by extension, marriage, is a two-way street.
One person deserves to be treated right just like the other person.
5. Women who have no lives of their own
When talks of marriage is on the table, men tend to avoid women who have no lives of their own.
There are women who make their partners the center of their lives once they’re in a relationship.
I’m referring to this type of women.
For such a woman, her life revolves around her man and she acts as if she’s nothing without him.
I knew of a lady like that who usually came for her beauty sessions in the salon I patronize.
She was always going on and on about ‘her man this, her man that’.
At first, I thought it was heartwarming that she really adored her man.
But then, I noticed a trend.
She doesn’t talk about herself, her job, her life, her friends, or family.
It was always about her man.
I knew that she was a clingy type and disaster waiting to happen.
Somehow, I stopped seeing her after a while and when I asked the workers at the salon, they gave me the juicy tea.
Turned out that her man was fed up with her clinginess and broke up with her.
She was still going to his house to plead with him for more than five months after the break-up.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was him giving her an invite to his wedding with another lady.
According to the story, she created a scene at his house and was taken away by the estate security.
No one has seen or heard from her ever since.
6. Women who are out to change them

What?
There are really people who go into the lives of others with the sole aim of changing them and ‘polishing’ them to their taste and standards.
Being in a relationship with such a person can honestly be tiring and frustrating.

She’ll want to change everything about him starting from his fashion sense, his food choices, table manners, to even the way he speaks.

I think that one falls in love with the body, heart, and personality of one’s partner.
If that’s truly the case, I can’t help but wonder about the obsession with changing them.
Why waste time trying to change someone?
If you don’t love them enough to take them as they are and tolerate their excesses, move aside for someone else to love them rightly.
People should only change when they’re doing bad or see a positive need for a change, and not just to satisfy someone else or meet their standards.
7. The report cards
On the list of the types of women men don’t like to marry is the report cards.
By that, I mean the women who tell their parents, siblings, or friends everything that goes on in their relationship.
She’s always on the phone or runs off at every slightest development to visit and keep them updated.
At first, the man might find such an action interesting, as he might take it to mean that she’s family-oriented and has a close bond with her family.
But it becomes a problem if it happens regularly.
She might even want to take permission from her loved ones to engage in activities with her man.
I can’t help but wonder if she has a mind of her own at all.
No man wants to live like that for the rest of his life – being at the mercy and scrutiny of his in-laws most of the time.
It’s a pathetic way to live.
